Free vs Starter: how the 1,000 free views work
Free includes up to 1,000 recommendation views each calendar month. Starter is $19 every 30 days with unlimited views and a 14-day free trial, billed through Shopify.
Updated
The two plans
| Free | Starter | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $19 every 30 days |
| Recommendation views | Up to 1,000 each calendar month | Unlimited |
| Free trial | Not needed | 14 days |

Questions about views and billing
What counts as one view?
Each time a set of recommendations loads on a page, Dropr counts one view. A product page that shows You might also like and Bought together counts 2 views. Each time the cart drawer shows recommendations counts 1. Previews in the theme editor don't count.
When does the count start over?
On the 1st of every month, at midnight UTC. Unused views don't carry over. In Dropr, Settings shows under Plan how many views you've used and the date the count resets.
What happens at 800 views?
A banner on Dropr's pages says how many of your 1,000 free recommendation views you've used this month, with a See plans link. Dropr's Home page shows the same count with Review your plan. Nothing changes on your store.
What happens at 1,000 views?
Recommendations pause until the 1st of next month, on every page, including checkout and the thank you page. Your store keeps working as it did before Dropr. Home says Recommendations are paused and offers Upgrade to Starter.
How do I switch to Starter?
In Dropr, open Settings and click Change plan. On the Dropr Starter card, click Start 14-day free trial, then approve the charge in Shopify. Shopify takes you back to Dropr, and recommendations show again if they were paused.
Will I be charged during the trial?
No. The Starter card shows the date of the first charge and says Switch back to Free before then and you pay nothing. The 14 days count across sign-ups: if you switch back to Free during the trial, starting Starter again later gives you the trial days you still had.
How do I stop paying?
In Dropr, open Settings, click Change plan, then click Switch to Free and confirm. Recommendations stay on, up to 1,000 views a month. If you've already used more than 1,000 this month, they pause until the 1st. Uninstalling Dropr also stops future charges. See how to uninstall Dropr.
Can I get a refund?
There's no automatic refund for the rest of a billing period. If you change your mind after a charge, email support@heydropr.com and ask for a refund.
Does Dropr take a share of my sales?
No. Both plans are a flat price with no share of your sales and no charge per view.
