Product release
Dropr now covers the whole purchase
Until now, Dropr showed recommendations on product pages and in the cart. This release adds home and collection pages, checkout, and the thank you and order status pages. Every placement uses your products and your store's style.
Four kinds of recommendations
Place several on the same page, for example Bought together and Recently viewed on one product page. Style them once in Dropr and they all match.
- You might also like. Products that go well with the one they're looking at.
- Bought together. This product plus what people buy with it, added to the cart in one tap.
- Popular right now. Your best sellers from real orders. Works on the home page and collections.
- Recently viewed. Brings back what each shopper looked at. Saved in their browser only, and not saved when a shopper declines cookies.
Thank you and order status pages
After the order, Dropr shows products that go with what they just bought. Add to cart puts the product in the store cart, so shoppers can keep browsing or check out again when they're ready.
The order status page shows them again when shoppers come back to check on their order. It needs Shopify's new customer accounts.
Recommendations inside checkout
A short list of products inside checkout. Shoppers add one to their order without leaving. Shopify limits blocks inside checkout to Plus stores.
One-click offer after payment
A page between payment and the thank you page with one offer the shopper can add to the order they just paid for, without entering their card again.
It's built and in the app now. Shopify has to approve Dropr's post-purchase access before it can run on live stores, so it turns on as that approval comes in.
Sales by placement
See views, adds to cart and sales for every placement, side by side, so you know which ones earn their spot. Sales count paid orders with an item added through Dropr.
A simpler admin
The Dropr home page now shows a map of where Dropr shows up, with one short action for each place. Settings fit on one page with one Save button.
How to turn them on
- Open Dropr in your Shopify admin. The home page lists every place Dropr can show, with one short action for each.
- Product page, home, collection and cart placements open in your theme editor. Checkout, thank you and order status open in the checkout editor.
- Save in the editor. Dropr marks the placement as live the first time it shows in your store.
